Introducing Our Partners

Mill Street wouldn’t be what it is without our team, our members and our partners.

Over the years, we have created some really special connections with local businesses that we collaborate with regularly and share the same love for our wonderful community.

Purple Monster

Since the beginning of 2020, we’ve been injecting some extra excitement into our event offerings through our partnership with our good friends at Purple Monster.

Alan Heap, founding Director of Purple Monster, was one of our very first Mill Street members, and we’ve been blessed with his presence since the beginning.  (He’s a real OG, this one)

Purple Monster is a virtual first communications & engagement agency with a mission to turn content into a creative experience.

The best bit? They’re only around the corner.

If you’re looking for a green-screen studio, photography studio, or help with event coordination, the team has the tools to provide an engaging, interactive, and enjoyable experience for audiences inside Mill Street and beyond.

Together, there’s not much we can’t do.

Creative Futures

Nestled in the hustle and bustle of Mill Street, we’re thrilled to join forces with Creative Futures to provide early-stage businesses and entrepreneurs with inspiration, education and valuable business support through expert advice, mentoring and networking opportunities.

Fueled by the powerhouse partnership of Mill Street and The University of Warwick, Creative Futures is all about sparking inspiration, sharing wisdom, and offering hands-on support to Leamington Spa’s next creative cluster.

The Creative Futures incubator selects a cohort of 5 businesses every 6 months through a rolling application process. Managed by Creative Futures, the cohort provides a year’s membership at Mill Street and 6 months of intensive business support valued at a whopping £10,000.

To qualify for the programme, you must be a motivated, business-minded individual actively looking to build or launch your creative business and demonstrate how you would benefit from being part of the Creative Futures cohort and 1 Mill Street mix.

To find out more about the businesses that have benefitted from the Creative Futures programme or to apply to the next cohort, pop in and chat with the Creative Futures team or read more on the Warwick Innovation District website.

The Game Dev Group

At 1 Mill Street, we are proud to partner with The Game Dev Group, Leamington Spa’s thriving community of game developers, creatives, and enthusiasts.

The Game Dev Group is a welcoming and collaborative space for programmers, voice actors, designers, indie developers, modders, and anyone interested in game design or development.

Based here at 1 Mill Street, the group offers a relaxed and informal environment where members can meet like-minded individuals, share knowledge, and learn from one another. We believe in fostering creative communities, and our partnership with The Game Dev Group is one of the many ways we support the local Leamington gaming scene.

The Game Dev Group hosts monthly events at 1 Mill Street, covering a wide range of topics related to gaming. These events range from fireside chats with industry veterans to talks from local experts and round-table discussions. In addition to the main events, The Game Dev Group runs game jams, game nights, recruitment events in partnership with Playground Games and social gatherings, offering plenty of opportunities for networking and collaboration.

MillPool

Bridging the gap for young entrepreneurs.

Introducing Millpool – our newest collaboration between 1 Mill Street and Warwick College and University Centre (WCUC) – designed to open doors for Leamington’s creative graduates as they transition from further education into the professional world.

This partnership offers WCUC graduates access to helpful resources, exposure to potential employers, support from the Mill Street community and access to the Mill Street space and facilities.

Inspired by our relationship with Creative Futures, the initiative helps bridge the gap between education and industry, giving local students networking opportunities and a platform to grow their portfolios.

Get in touch to learn more about our partnership with Millpool or if you’d like to introduce yourself to Warwickshire’s young entrepreneurs.
